Abdulai, who has represented Ghana at various youth levels, arrived in Ribeirão Preto on August 6 and has been training with the team. With his documentation now complete, he is available for selection by coach Paulo Gomes for Botafogo’s upcoming Brazilian Serie B fixture.
Abdulai began his career in Ghana with Spartans FC before moving to Spain in 2017, where he gained experience with UD Extremadura and La Liga side Getafe CF. The 25-year-old midfielder also played for Ponferradina, Lugo, and Real Murcia during his time in Spain, and his versatility is expected to be a key asset for Botafogo this season.
