Ghana’s U-20 national team, the Black Satellites, are gearing up for their next big challenge as they prepare to begin residential camping ahead of the maiden WAFU U-20 Cup tournament. The team will converge at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram on Monday, May 26, 2025, as part of their buildup to the competition.
Set to take place from June 15 to June 30, 2025, the WAFU U-20 Cup promises to be a showcase of top youth talent from across the West African region. To ensure a strong showing, the technical team has invited 30 players to camp. These include a solid core from the squad that represented Ghana at the 2025 TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, as well as promising new additions eager to prove their mettle.
All invited players are expected to report to camp by 10:00 a.m. on the first day of training. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reiterated its commitment to nurturing talent and building competitive national teams at every level. With a blend of experience and youthful exuberance, the Black Satellites are poised to make a significant impact at the upcoming tournament.
