Kwasi Sibo Eyes Black Stars Call-Up After Stellar Season With Real Oviedo

Real Oviedo midfielder Kwasi Sibo says he feels ready to don the Ghana national team jersey following a remarkable campaign in Spain.

The 27-year-old Ghanaian was a key figure in Oviedo’s successful push for promotion to La Liga, racking up 42 appearances across all competitions, scoring once and providing an assist. Since joining the club in July 2024 on a two-year deal, Sibo has impressed with his work rate, tactical awareness, and leadership in midfield.

“I’m matured enough to play for the Black Stars,” Sibo told Sportsblog247.com. “I believe this is the time. I’m just doing my best and waiting for them. I’m always ready to represent Ghana.”

Known for his high energy and defensive discipline, Sibo credits his development to his experience in Spain. “Midfielders control the game. To play in midfield, you need to understand the game, have stamina, and be patient. Playing in Spain all these years has shaped me, and I believe I’m ready for the national team.”

With his contract at Real Oviedo running until the summer of 2026, Sibo is expected to be a key figure for the club as they prepare for life in the Spanish top flight.
