Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus has backed Tottenham Hotspur to bounce back stronger after their heartbreaking UEFA Super Cup loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
Playing at Stadio Friuli, Spurs looked destined to shock the French champions after racing to a 2-0 lead through Micky van de Ven’s first-half strike and captain Cristian Romero’s second-half header. But in a dramatic twist, late goals from PSG substitutes Lee Kang-in and Gonçalo Ramos dragged the match into a penalty shootout, where missed spot-kicks from Van de Ven and Mathys Tel sealed PSG’s victory.
Kudus, making his competitive debut for Spurs after joining from West Ham United this summer, came close to scoring himself when his glancing header clipped the post. Despite the loss, the 23-year-old remained upbeat about the team’s performance.
> “It is disappointing to lose the game in the end. This is a big lesson to stay focused for the whole 90 minutes, but I am really proud of the team for their work ethic and energy,” he said. “We had them for most of the game; we just need to keep full concentration at the end. We take this as a lesson and now focus on the weekend.”
Kudus will shift his attention to making his Premier League debut on Saturday when Tottenham face newly promoted Burnley.

Months after their historic Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) triumph, Nigeria’s Super Falcons are still waiting for the Federal Government’s pledged rewards to materialize.

However, speaking on Chude Jideonwo’s podcast, Ajibade disclosed that none of the promised funds or apartments have been delivered.
> “We have not received our money. Hopefully, it would be paid. They have not paid — all the promises, we have not received anything,” she said, adding that the fulfillment of these promises will be publicly announced when it happens.
For now, the champions wait — their gold medals in hand, but the government’s golden promises still out of reach.
