John Dramani Mahama Advocates for Organic Development of Black Stars

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer for the 2024 Ghana Presidential Elections, John Dramani Mahama, has emphasized the need for an organic approach to building Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars. Speaking at a rally at the Bukom Boxing Arena, Mahama called for the revival of inter-school football, the Milo Championships, and Academicals to better scout and develop young talent. He noted that while Ghanaian players possess individual skills, they lack cohesion as a team, which is essential for long-term success. Mahama’s vision includes creating a more unified and strategically developed team to improve performance on the international stage.
